Day 3. South Dakota....all day.

Today is South Dakota day.  We started in Mitchell and will end up in Custer.  Lots of really flat land, cows, corn, and sky.  BIG sky.  You can see from horizon to horizon.  There is really no way to capture that in a photo.
The morning started off with some excitement.  Zoe burned her finger on the hotel waffle iron maker.   The sign said 16 and up unless accompanied by an adult.   Guess we should have been watching.  Who would have thought Zoe would be the first injury 😊
Next, we went to the Corn Palace in
Mitchell.  It's a local arena and event center that is completely covered in corn mosaics inside and out.

We made a quick stop at lake Francis and a visitors center about the Lewis and Clark expedition and are now headed to the Badlands national park. So far, the kids have declared SD their favorite state

And we are now in the land of Pop and weird Midwestern accents.
