Missouri, Missouri, and more Missouri.

Today is a travel day.   Almost 10 hours in the car from St. Louis to Mitchell, SD.  We have crossed MO and seen about all there is to see of it.   Corn, highway, and more corn.   Heading north through Iowa soon.

Traveling is hard....for some of us m ore than others.  Yesterday was hopefully a day of adjustment with lots of worry about how being in a car for 8 hours would feel.  We had some rough moments and tensions were high.  The hotel pool helped to wear out the kids before bed.

This morning came early and after the hotel breakfast we headed out of St. Louis.  The kids stay on electronic devices or movies most of the time with interums of sleep.   It's nice to hear an occasional "whoa!" From the back seat and realize that they are actually looking out a window.  So far the big "whoas" have come from crossing rivers - the Missouri River and the Mississippi.
